C.M. Rohan, Author
Born and raised in the US Virgin Islands, Author C.M. Rohan brings a lifetime of island experiences to her storytelling. As a veterinarian with deep Caribbean roots, she understands the importance of representation in the stories we share with our children.
After her daughter and nephew were born, Rohan searched high and low for children's books that reflected their Caribbean heritage ... but found very few.
Inspired by this gap, and her nephew's own island adventures, she began writing the tales she wished existed: Authentic Caribbean tales where children could see themselves as the heroes of their own stories.
Through Ziggy's world, Rohan shares the warmth, wonder, and rich culture of Caribbean life with young readers everywhere.

About the Art
Why These Books Matter
Caribbean children deserve to see themselves reflected in the stories they read. For too long, young readers from island communities have had limited options for books that celebrate their culture and way of life.
Ziggy's adventures fill this important gap, offering authentic Caribbean experiences that help children connect with their heritage while introducing others to the beauty and richness of island culture. These stories build bridges between communities and celebrate the universal joy of childhood adventure.
